This program was developed to assist me in confirming my QSO contacts on amateur radio. It can interface with either the N3FJP Amateur Contact Log (ACL), Ham Radio Deluxe (HRD), or Log for Old Men (Log4OM) and automatically maintain a record of QSO confirmation emails. The application also allows for the import of standard ADIF files from other loggers, annotating in its database which contacts have received QSL cards through this program. Each ADIF import is appended to the application’s database. When the ADIF - Amateur Data Interchange Format Use ADI logging system is selected on the setup screen, two additional menu items are added to the file menu: one for importing and one for deleting all records in the application database. Deleting all records from the ADIF database should provide an alternative method for determining which contacts have already received emails. The application utilizes QRZ membership features to retrieve the email address of your contact for the purpose of sending an electronic copy of your QSL card.

If you possess a QRZ account with XML privileges, an email account, a Windows 64-bit computer, and desire to utilize the program, you may acquire it from my online store. Additional custom cards can be created for a nominal fee. The image files are 1800x1200 JPGs, which are postcard-sized. A Photoshop template (PSD) is copied to the program’s installation directory for use if you have Photoshop, facilitating the creation of visually appealing cards. The program necessitates a QRZ account with XML capabilities to retrieve email addresses and operates optimally with either N3FJP (ACL), Ham Radio Deluxe (HRD), or Log4OM logging to monitor sent emails. ADIF files can also be utilized. The program is exclusively compatible with Windows 64-bit operating systems. What are the program requirements?

The application operates on Windows 64-bit and necessitates a QRZ XML or higher account to access QSL data.

Will it run with my e-mail provider?

Recent modifications by Microsoft have rendered the use of SMTP to Outlook.com ineffective. Consequently, Outlook.com and Outlook 365 are no longer compatible with the program. In contrast, G-Mail, Yahoo, and other similar services continue to function seamlessly.

Can contacts opt out of receiving e-mails?

Contacts will have the option to opt out of receiving QSOCardCreator cards by adding “NOQSOCC” or “NOEQSL” to the QSL information field on their callsign update page on QRZ. You can provide them with the necessary information by providing a link to www.n1et.com/Opt-out.

Is my logger supported?

N3FJP (ACL), Ham Radio Deluxe (HRD), Log4OM, or ADIF file logging can be employed to record sent emails. If your logger supports ADIF export, it can be utilized in conjunction with the program.

I think single sided e-mail QSL cards are the way of the future. As with all new programs, software problems will pop up from time to time. What counts is the promptness of the support you get to fix the program. Being a beta tester for this program, I have a unique view on how fast a problem is fixed once a it is found. I know for a fact that Robert has dropped working on other projects to get a bug in this program fixed fast. As for support, I would give him an “A+”. Over the last few months, I have watched as Robert received various user requests and has added feature after feature, all of which have made this program faster and easier to use.
